Following Jesus is not about following a list of rules and regulations; it’s about living as God’s beloved children and representing Him to the world! Knowing Jesus and growing in friendship with Him will give us the greatest satisfaction that we will ever experience in life. It’s what we were made for! Here’s a few tips on how to begin growing in your relationship with Jesus and your faith.
Read the Bible
God’s Word written specifically to guide us through life (Psalm 119:105, 2 Timothy 3:16). Through the Bible, God reveals His love for us and speaks to us. Reading the entire Bible can feel like an intimidating task, but don’t worry! The Holy Spirit, who is God, promises to teach you as you read. Make Prayer a Part of Your Day
In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, the Bible says to “Never stop praying.” God wants us to have an ongoing conversation with Him throughout the day. Nothing is too small for Him to care about in our lives. Just like in any relationship, you get to know God by spending time with Him!
Worship
One of the best ways to connect with God is through worship! Worship can happen with or without music. It is simply taking our attention and putting it on Jesus. When we worship, we tell Jesus how much we love Him, express our thanks to Him, and give Him praise because of His goodness.

Being Baptized

Next Baptism: August 9th, 2026

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When followers of Jesus are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus, and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
