Following Jesus is not a magical fix-all button that makes every problem and issue instantly vanish, it's instead the reconnection with the creator of the universe, the one who created us for righteousness, peace and joy, that brings the answer to every issue that is stealing our life from us.

Your time is today. If you have never decided to surrender your life to God, we'll walk with you.

It starts with surrender and acknowledging the universe doesn't revolve around us - surrendering to the mystery of the divine creator, humbly reaching out for him and making a decision to become a follower.

Like any new learning experience in life, we have to trust a teacher before we have the answers.

Jesus is the teacher, and all it takes is trust.

Pray this prayer: "Jesus, I don't have all the answers. I am trusting you do. I have sinned and fallen short of who I was created to be. I believe when you lived on earth, you showed what God is really like, and what I am meant to be like. I believe when you died, you died in my place, so the condemnation of death. I believe when you rose from the dead, that God showed you are the one worthy to save me, and that nothing is impossible. I am trusting that you hear my prayer, that you are the lord of all. Save me, and give me your Spirit, so I can walk with you, amen."

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When followers of Jesus are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus, and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
