POSITION AVAILABLE: 


Coffee Bar Manager—Part Time;  12 hrs. a week


Looking For:

  • Strong, proactive work ethic.
  • Able to notice areas of need and take initiative to address them.
  • Focused on creating a fun and safe environment for volunteers
  • Invested and involved in the lives of volunteers and staff.
  • Communicates and coordinates with other area leaders well in order to best function together.
  • Continually developing and bettering areas of oversight and personal development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide refreshments and support for Weekend Celebrations, All-Church functions, Staff Training, and other functions as determined by the Gather Leader.
  • Identify, recruit, train, equip, and schedule volunteers.
  • Use effective Guest Services Team Policies and Procedures, incorporate improvements, and write/implement new systems and processes as appropriate.
  • Responsible for maintenance and care of Coffee Bar fixtures and equipment.
  • Report and manage finances as it relates to the cash box and sales.
  • Maintain food permit and standards required by Johnson County Health Department.
  • Order all supplies for operation of the Coffee Bar, including free coffee and condiments and all specialty drink supplies.
  • Manage inventory ensuring fresh and safe product is provided to guests and that VCC is being responsible with levels of inventory kept on hand.
  • Manage the Coffee Bar budget and provide input on Guest Services budget as it relates to Coffee Bar needs.
  • Meet with the Gather Leader weekly.


Worship Pastor—Full Time; 50 hrs. a week

  • Communicates and coordinates with other area leaders well in order to best function together.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders.
  •  Select and prepare all musical elements for the weekend celebrations and big events.

  • Provide worship to any special events (midweek, conferences, etc).

  • Develop the musical, spiritual, and communal elements of the worship team.

  • Champion vision for worship in other departments of the church (groups, youth, kids, etc).

  •  Develop and maintain systems and equipment related to the worship team.


GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • VCC membership is required for all employees, along with your agreement to sign and abide by the VCC Handbook.
  • You are not required to be a member in order to apply, but must be prepared to become a member should a job be offered to you.
  • All final candidates for VCC positions will be subject to a background check.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?

  • Once your completed application is received by Human Resources, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging that we have received it.
  • If you meet the qualifications for a current job opening, your application will be forwarded to the department hiring manager for review and consideration.
  • Someone from HR will contact you directly if you are selected for an interview.
  • If you are not selected for the job, your application will be maintained on file for about nine months.
